A practical storage bench

Here is the last DIY I made for Bob Vila! It’s so practical, as you know getting the entrance organize is a real challenge. Between the jackets, the bags and the shoes, you never had enough space. This bench isn’t gonna solve all the entryway storage issue today! But building this practical bench to organize our shoes kind of help a little. And It add our entrance a nice place to sit and a practical spot to leave the bags and a storage basket.

That is perfect for a problem we have in our area…scorpions! I'm always afraid one may have crawled into a shoe, but this keeps shoes out of harm's way. Also easier to sweep the floor without having to move shoes. Great design!

Arggg scorpions!!! We also have some here, but I never saw any in the house (fingers crossed). I'm now in the stage two of the project: educate the kids to put them shoes into the storage basket, instead of throwing them across the hallway!
