Easy tangram wall art

Make a tangram as wall art is the easiest thing to do, I'm not even sure you need a tutorial. I make this nice whale for our bedroom. You saw it's a whale? Right? Because both of my kids told me it was a strange duck...

So, just pick some nice color papers and cut the 7 pieces of the tangram. Make the pieces as big as you can. It can help if you draw a little sketch before, to be sure of what color you want for each piece.

Put double side tape on the back of the pieces and place them on the wall. Using a level can be helpful to place the pieces horizontally. And that's it! Quick and easy! It will make a great decor for a kids bedroom, and you can even involved them to choose a tangram shape.

My DIY bedroom! The nightstands  (or side table) are made out of plastic bucket and plywood and the geo lampshades were crafted with folded cardboard.

DIY hexagon mobile

I feel like I have a little addiction for mobile lately. This one has kind of a mid-century vibe. Nothing to do with the hummingbirds mobile I made last week. I didn't hang them in the same room, so it works. You will find the full tutorial at Allison's blog: Dream a Little Bigger.
